Bansulli (2012)

In a remote village of the Karnali, in western Nepal, at the time of the first national elections following a decade of civil war, the life of Bijuli, a twelve-year-old girl, is about to change for ever. Despite the political transition and the social stigma around her, she pursues her passion for the flute. A short film by Min Bahadur Bham weaving together tenderness, migration, separation and longing.
