Bruno, Florence and their children set off on holiday to Corsica, but their hotel is destroyed by a bomb attack before they arrive and the family is taken in by a cousin. Over the course of the stay, each of them lives out their own story: Bruno meets a holidaymaker who is taken with him, while Florence gets to know a shepherd during a walk in the mountains. The third instalment of the Je hais… collection, co-produced with Belgium.
The « I hate… » collection
Three 90-minute family comedies built on a single mechanism: an adult at the end of their tether declares they hate what they are supposed to cherish, their children, their parents or their holidays, and is then condemned to face it head on. Each instalment stands alone, with its own characters and its own resolution.
A short, transposable concept that reads instantly in any language: the title is the pitch. The collection lends itself to extension (« I hate… » plus a new family territory) as much as to remake, in 90-minute or short-series format.
