Married for twelve years, Florence has always carried her own problems and everyone else's, watching over the well-being of the whole family. Exhausted, she can no longer bear the atmosphere of her home, the noise and her children, and feels trapped in a cage. Wrongly suspecting her husband Bruno of infidelity on top of it all, she leaves him alone for a week with their three boisterous children. A comedy by Lorenzo Gabriele, the first instalment of the Je hais… collection.
The « I hate… » collection
Three 90-minute family comedies built on a single mechanism: an adult at the end of their tether declares they hate what they are supposed to cherish, their children, their parents or their holidays, and is then condemned to face it head on. Each instalment stands alone, with its own characters and its own resolution.
A short, transposable concept that reads instantly in any language: the title is the pitch. The collection lends itself to extension (« I hate… » plus a new family territory) as much as to remake, in 90-minute or short-series format.
Distribution entrusted to Studio TF1, formerly Newen. For broadcasting and adaptations, write to us or approach the distributor directly.
