Florence and Bruno, a couple leading a quiet life, see their daily routine turned upside down by the unexpected arrival of their respective parents: Bruno's mother has broken her leg and can no longer manage on her own, while Florence's father finds himself with nowhere to live after being left by his partner. This forced cohabitation quickly creates tension in the couple's married life. The second instalment of the Je hais… collection, a French-Belgian co-production.
The « I hate… » collection
Three 90-minute family comedies built on a single mechanism: an adult at the end of their tether declares they hate what they are supposed to cherish, their children, their parents or their holidays, and is then condemned to face it head on. Each instalment stands alone, with its own characters and its own resolution.
A short, transposable concept that reads instantly in any language: the title is the pitch. The collection lends itself to extension (« I hate… » plus a new family territory) as much as to remake, in 90-minute or short-series format.
Distribution entrusted to Studio TF1, formerly Newen. For broadcasting and adaptations, write to us or approach the distributor directly.
